is not written in the usual organized and witty manner of Lois I have
tried to piece together a report from her notes as Lois is recuperating
from a bout with what we think is Dengue Fever from her recent trip to
Bonaire. Please keep her in your prayers for a speedy recovery.

REMINDERS

Please make the effort to get this paperwork completed. Many thanks

DUES. Club dues are due by July 5th each year. Single, or first member $24. Second member $16. Third or fourth member $8 . **We will continue to pro-rate dues for those members joining mid-year. If dues are not paid by September 5th, you will be dropped from the mailing list.
Laurel Diver patches are available for $10. See Ron Peterson, treasurerer.

NEW BUSINESS:
There will be an audit of club books as the new officers take over in August. The date and time is yet to be set. Two volunteers will be needed for this duty.
In August Julie Paige and Ron Peterson will officially be taking over their elected positions. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Lois Keegan for serving for 2 years as our secretary and Nelda Donley for serving as treasurer for the past year. You did a great job and your work is greatly appreciated!
OLD BUSINESS
TREASURE DIVE: Registration cut off was July 11 for the treasure dive. Anyone who has signed up for the treasure dive and has not signed up for a duty and food item will be assigned one of each. Tent erection will take place on Friday July 19th at 6:30 pm. There will be camping Friday and Saturday night at the q*****. The board meeting will be held on Sunday morning at 10 am. The treasure dive check in will begin at 12pm. Diving will be from 1-5 pm.
Be a CHECK-OUT CHUM! Open Water Certification Checkouts.
We need Laurel Divers to sign up to appear at checkouts to offer assistance,
coffee, hot
cocoa , swap stories, offer moral support to newbies and pass out membership
applications. Any food items that are purchased for this event will
be reimbursed if
receipts are presented. Dates for checkouts are August 3 &
4, October 5 & 6. Please call Brad McVicker if interested.

September 20-22 Dutch Springs Weekend. A weekend meet-up with the New England Aquarium Dive Club and our Boston Buddies Jim & Peter. Leave on Friday night camp in parking lot. Dive on Saturday camp in Dutch Springs Saturday night dive Sunday am - leave to return home early afternoon. Admission fee $19, camping $10 per person, $5 per person to night dive. October 12, 1p.m., Dive In at the Q***** The Dive-Ins are open
to all newly certified divers and club members. Come out and spend
an enjoyable
afternoon diving and making new friends. Bring your buddy or
dive with a group. Do a tour of the q*****, feed the fish and bring
a picnic lunch and some lawn
chairs.
Need equipment? Maurer Dive Shop has a special package - $25
