The Board meeting was at Ron’s and Lois on June 27th at 7:30pm.  We discussed the Sheetz fund raiser, treasure dive prizes.

The General Meeting was called to order at Penn Gables, Ebensburg, PA  on June 7, 2007 at 7:30 pm, by President John Augustine with the traditional conch blow.

Treasurers Report for the month of June:

Membership Report: Currently 63. No new members.  (We do have two wishing to apply after they have been certified).
Old Business

MTO coupons for fundraiser are now available from Shari Mullen.  A $4 contribution buys you a Sheetz MTO item and drink.  Please support the club by purchasing and selling as many coupons as possible.  Currently 119 are sold and 81 are remaining.

Thanks to Ron for the last Quarry cleanup.  The next Quarry cleanup is scheduled for July 17th.

Passport reminder:  Passports are now required to travel to Canada or the Bahamas.  It now takes about 12 weeks to get a new passport.

New Business

Donna Sabol has sent out letters reminding us that dues are due at the July meeting, and the last chance to sign up for the Treasure Dive will also be the July meeting.

Elections will be at the July meeting.  Since there is only one name per office, ballots will not be required.

This does leave two board vacancies of Bert Sharbaugh and Jim/Lori Kerr.  Possible considerations for presidential appointment of temporary board members: Mike Miller, Lois Keegan, Donna Sabol, Bob Mock.

Mike Miller is providing us two 12 x 12 tents.  Because these are smaller, we will NOT have the tent erection Friday night;  it will be Saturday, sometime…

Treasure Dive Saturday (July 21) is open diving at the Quarry;  everyone is invited to dive at either end at any time.  There is usually a gathering early evening at the “table rock” sharing food and drinks.  This usually turns into a party around the fire.  Everyone is invited.

Treasure Dive Sunday (July 22) starts with a board meeting at 10am under the tent.  Registration starts at 11am and diving is from 1pm to 5pm.  Noone can dive Sunday before 1pm.  Only registered Treasure Divers can dive between 1pm and 5pm.  Anyone can dive after 5pm.

For the next Treasure Dive, we will be having only a few prizes:  a regulator(primary and secondary), an aluminum tank, a reel, and Mikes Scuba is donating $150 gift certificate, two season air fills, and two masks.  Everyone will get a Treasure Dive Tee Shirt.  The Treasure Dive is $20 and requires current dues to be paid up;  sign up soon!
